Buffer sounds right
Do you have to get polar bear insurance???
I'm nowhere near that organized. Whether I get a software program to document stuff or not, I'll probably end up spending the same. You probably don't have expenses people living in big cities do. Large commutes, expensive auto insurance, taking the family to Disneyland for the day, and so on. Not having a mall nearby with 300 stores probably saves you from buying needless items that you have no room for. One expense that has gone up this winter in my part of the world is natural gas. This winter, I would say it's doubled in price. It's either heat the house, or live under a dozen blankets. :/
Hi congrats on 500k subscribers. I really enjoy it. Your cabin looks so cosy and beautiful. The scenery is amazing too.
All the best for 2023 🌠 Linda x
Hi there! I was wondering if its possible to grow your own food in temperature controlled greenhouses with special uv lights. Does anyone garden there?
Loved this! Would love to know what the average rent looks like if someone was going to come live for say 1 or 2 years instead of purchasing a house.
I've seen so much transparence about personal budget before. I always want to know how much it costs to live somewhere else.
You each get paid monthly four thousand dollars, is this from the government? You indicate that your business income from the vlogs is separate. Both of you now work on the vlogs, you don’t apparently work Elsewhere, in addition.
Bi-weekly (every two weeks, not weekly) paychecks are standard in the United States, although it can vary. I’m self-employed and my client contracts vary—some are bi-weekly and some are monthly.
I have about 900000 in available cash, could I afford to live in svalbard for a few years
most of us in America get paid every 2 weeks, not monthly. Would be much easier if it was weekly!
Always cool to see how others do their budgeting! Top tip regarding your electricity….Rather than 'waiting and seeing' what the cost will be depending on the weather, just budget for the maximum amount it would usually be during the coldest period and set it there. Then, at the end of the winter, if you haven't had to use it because its been warmer and you have lots left over, then voila! That can go straight into your savings budget, or extra spending etc. It eliminates the guessing and/or stress of not knowing, and turns into a nice little unexpected pot of cash if not needed! Its what we do here in Scotland since the weather is so unpredictable and works well!
new subscriber here from the Philippines..
Alltså hur har man råd 😛 Kan du inte jämföra priserna i förhållande till ett "vanligt" arbete? Vad tjänar en lärare tex? osv.. Trevlig och bra video! ha en fin helg! MVH Max <3
You should get another wall mounted heat pump / mini split to help heat without wood
Love your channel, Do you think it would be possible to live on 5,560 us dollars a month there for a single guy? Hope it's not a stupid question.
i just joined so good so far
that looks sooo cozy
I recently went through my online subscriptions and cancelled a few of them, saving me around £32 a month! There are probably a couple more I could unsubscribe from, but they're on probation… for now!
Also, this is the first full video of yours that I've watched, though I have seen your shorter videos on TikTok! 🙂
Love this video. Budgeting transparency is so rare. This was very helpful
I will die if i dont see Sun for so long
Only having to pay around $3,000 for a whole YEAR of insurance for one person would be insanely awesome. I like the idea of paying it all at once so you don’t have to worry about it each month
Hej from Denmark, I have just subscribed , I love your channel and I'll follow it ☺.
Maybe now is not the right moment (this video is 2 weeks old) but instead of buffer, I use the word "mattress" , as a back up money to feel safe/comfortable if I need/have to use it for anything without touching money from another account.
So probably buffer account is that extra money that you save for the same purpose.
Vi ses😃…By the way, the best for this 2023!
speaking of shopping – I noticed you have a fitness watch or a GPS watch? Which is it? How do you like it?
Buffer account is the same thing as a sinking fund which is what I find to be a more common term in North America! But buffer works too 🙂
Where is grim
Thank you for being geniune. So helpful. I'm poor compared to you but incredibly motivating!
really enjoyed this look into the details behind the scenes part of your life! interesting to see difference in costs or living there. wondering about excel software you used, and if possible a video on how you set that up? congrats on the growth of your channel! love watching all your videos! plus the svalbard tourist association should pay you/award you as you have massively increased interest and tourism there!!
Thank you so much for all this information about a place that I didn't know much about! It's stunningly beautiful! I've also been sharing my new found knowledge with my nursery school students!
I love your videos. I wish you would do more translation languages, especially Arabic
could you work remotely?
Depending on your job depends on how you are paid. I work for my local state government and I get paid every two weeks. I live in America
I have a question, you said that you get paid monthly, would all employers pay their employees monthly on the same day as well or is it all different days?
