Update: Hawaii will end its Safe Travels program on March 25th, 2022. This means that U.S. travelers won't have to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination or a negative Covid test to avoid quarantine.

Currently no changes to the restrictions or to the Safe Travel Program for Hawaii despite the state having much lower Covid cases. The Governor has indicated that the restrictions will stay in place at least through the holidays.

I believe you have one inaccurate but very important clarification to know. You stated kids five and under are exempt. Everything that I have seen indicates kids under the age of five are exempt. In other words if you are five years old, you are not exempt. Can you please clarify and confirm?

Honolulu just announced that businesses will require customers to show either proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours in order to enter. Children under 12 years old are exempt. This will be in effect starting on September 13th and will be for valid for the next 60 days and if COVID infection rates do not improve they will move to require mandatory vaccinations.

The Governor of Hawaii is urging tourists not to visit Hawaii through October but has also said he is not banning tourists from visiting Hawaii and currently has no plans to shut down the state. There are no changes to the requirements to enter Hawaii at this time.
