Rail passengers will discover providers disrupted by strikes on 5 of the primary 9 days in October.
The RMT union known as on greater than 40,000 employees employed by Network Rail and 15 prepare operators on Saturday 8 October. The stoppage may also have an effect on trains on the next day.

A Network Rail spokesperson stated: “This latest strike will again mean very significant disruption for passengers, and we’ll be asking people to only travel if absolutely necessary due to the reduced service that will be in place. The prepare operators embody the big London-focused companies: Greater Anglia, GTR (together with Southern, Great Northern, Thameslink on the Gatwick Express), Southeastern and South Western Railway.
The remaining operators are Chiltern Railways, c2c, Northern Trains and West Midlands Trains.
The rail unions are engaged in a deep and bitter dispute over pay, jobs and dealing practices with Network Rail, the prepare operators and the federal government.
Union bosses say the Department for Transport (DfT) is pulling strings and stopping the operators from making pay presents that might method the present price of inflation – virtually 10 per cent.
