Amsterdam marketing campaign tells ‘nuisance’ British vacationers to ‘stay away’ from capital

A brand new tourism marketing campaign in Amsterdam is trying to discourage “nuisance” British vacationers from visiting the town.

The marketing campaign, named the “discouragement campaign”, is trying to maintain away vacationers headed to the town merely to drink, take medication, and have intercourse, The Times has reported.

The important message of the marketing campaign might be “stay away”, and can initially be focused at British vacationers, in line with the Netherlands broadcaster Noord Holland.

The marketing campaign comes as a part of a transfer from metropolis councillors to determine a brand new status for the town in Europe and past.

Currently, many vacationers affiliate Amsterdam with drugs and alcohol, and councillors are involved that the red light district is attracting problematic or voyeuristic tourism.
